Leica 7x42 Ultravid HD-PLUS binoculars feature the new Schott HT glass and revamped coatings. Incidentally, Leica is one of the only companies that makes a high-end 42-mm roof prism binocular at 7x magnification. Ultravid HD-PLUS binoculars are made with Leicas proprietary AquaDura water-shedding coating, the P40 phase-corrective coatings on the prisms and the HighLux System to ensure the brightest, high-contrast images while minimizing the impact of stray light. Light transmission and resolution of the Ultravid HD-PLUS binoculars are further enhanced by the full HDC multi-coating on all the lens elements in each barrel. Black rubber armoring covers the durable magnesium frame of the 7x42 Ultravid HD PLUS binoculars which weigh 27.1 ounces. Fully sealed and nitrogen filled, the Ultravid 7x42 binoculars are waterproof to a depth of 16.5 feet and internally fog-proof as well.
